Celebrating St. George’s Day with the Scouts.
St. George is famed for the legend of slaying a dragon to save a town, representing the triumph of good over evil. Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, chose him as our patron saint to inspire Scouts to face challenges with determination and bravery.
On St. George’s Day, Scouts worldwide renew their Scout Promise and Law, reflecting on their commitment to these principles.
